Sune Mushendwa
COO
Sune Mushendwa leads operations at Okota Waste Management Ltd, recovering up to 95% of waste before it reaches landfills. With a background in architecture, he applies design thinking to optimize waste recovery and upcycling. He also drives Chanzi Ltd’s organic waste transformation, pushing for a circular economy in Tanzania.


Beatrice Ngunjiri
Data Management and Project Administrator
Beatrice, a Mining Engineering professional, manages Okota’s database systems to ensure data integrity in a company driven by analytics. She also oversees project execution, keeping initiatives on schedule and maintaining clear communication with partners and donors to ensure alignment with Okota’s goals.
Stanley Senaji
Financial Controller
Stanley, with a background in Civil Engineering and extensive experience in finance, oversees all financial operations at Okota. He ensures sound financial planning, budgeting, and control, supporting the company’s long-term growth and sustainability.


Daniel Mshana
Engineering Lead
Daniel, a Mechanical Engineer, is at the forefront of designing, fabricating, and installing machines that power Okota’s waste processing operations. His technical expertise ensures the company’s infrastructure supports efficient and sustainable waste management.
Mayasa Mhina
Site Manager
Mayasa, a specialist in Mathematics and Statistics, leads Okota’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF), overseeing a team of over 80 staff, 80% of whom are women. She ensures operational efficiency, motivates her team to meet waste collection targets, and continuously improves workflows, fostering a strong and inclusive work environment.
